Based on the structure, cross-roller bearings can be divided into two types: crossed cylindrical roller bearings and crossed tapered roller bearings. Both of their rolling elements are placed crosswise on the raceway, with each other separated by a space retainer (separator). The difference is that the V-shaped groove angle of cross-tapered roller bearing ring is different, so that the bearing capacity is larger and the rotation speed is higher.
TIMKEN is the founder and standard setter for crossed tapered roller bearings. Almost all machine tool builders currently use TIMKEN bearings. However, due to the high price and long delivery time, more and more users are using domestic(Chinese) bearings. Since 2010, Luoyang BRS Bearing Co.,Ltd has been specialized in the research and production of cross-roller bearing technology. Bearings precision and service life can completely replace original bearings, and meet the needs of most customers. Meanwhile, BRS bearing has the characteristics of short delivery time and high cost performance.
The XR series of cross-tapered roller bearings provide high rotational accuracy and rigidity in a small space, resulting in significant material cost savings. This type of bearing has a double outer ring and two single inner rings, with rollers separated by spacers. Line contact between the raceway and rollers provides maximum rotational accuracy, high stability and greater moment stiffness.
XR series cross tapered roller bearings can withstand high overturning moments and are suitable for high speed machine tools such as vertical boring machines and vertical grinding machines. It is also especially suitable for many devices with limited space but require high rotation accuracy.
